Free Antonym Worksheets, Antonym Practice

An antonym is a word that has the opposite meaning of another word. For example, an antonym for the word good is bad.

On this page you’ll find three original antonym worksheets for students and teachers. They’re free to download, and can provide some extra practice for you or your students.

Each original worksheet is divided into two sections. In the first section, students are given a scrambled antonyms list and are asked to match the antonyms. In the second part, students have to fill in the blanks with antonyms from the word box.

Furthermore, I have provided three separate difficulties: easy, medium, and hard. The easy difficulty is intended for students from 1st to 3rd grade. The medium difficulty level is for students between 4th and 5th grade. Finally the hard difficulty antonym worksheet is composed mostly of SAT words, for an extra challenge.

On the second page of each PDF, you will find the answer key to the antonym worksheet. So don’t look on the second page until you’ve completed the worksheet.

That about sums it up. Simply click on a worksheet to open it in your browser, or click on the text links beneath the worksheet picture.
